Hydrotherm Massage

We are very excited to introduce a new level of relaxation to you…

Hydrotherm massage is designed for you to be held in warmth, feel weightless and not have to move a muscle.

Hydrotherm massage is a new form of massage that involves laying on water filled supportive pillows which feel similar to floating on a warm water bed. The whole treatment is performed with you lying on your back and your practitioner can treat you 360degrees by reaching underneath, around you and working from above. The depth of pressure is made from your body weight resting in their hands. You don’t have to turn over, you don’t have to be faced down and get a runny or blocked nose.

Slow, rejuvenating massage techniques are performed to help you let go of tension and stress. You’re practitioner will lift you in gentle movements to ease mobility and release stagnated joints.

Hydrotherm is ideal for lower back ache and tight shoulders, as well as being a great treatment for wanting the absolute luxury of a soothing massage. Runners or just those with very tight hamstrings can also benefit hugely from this treatment! The heat works to ease the muscles and the access that the therapist gains to your legs from every angle really compliments the needs of overworked limbs.

It is important to drink plenty of water in the 24hours before your treatment, as well as afterwards. The heat, though not at an overwhelming temperature, like a sauna, can still be dehydrating. The temperature of the water will remain between 36-40 degrees which shouldn’t be too hot for you to sweat much but it would still require you to replenish your fluids.

Things to be aware of

It is suggested to wear swimwear briefs during this treatment to accommodate the oil application. It is best to have something dry to put back on afterwards.

Please let your Practitioner know if you have low blood pressure, are on any medications. It may be advisable for you to not have a Hydrotherm Treatment if any of these are the case.

We are very excited about this new form of treatment and will be sure to add to our repertoire the Hydrotherm Pregnancy massage very soon!
