Tui-Na Massage

Tui-Na is a deep tissue, therapeutic/medical massage available with Jadelin only.

Tui-Na massage is a therapeutic form of massage that has been used in China for more than 5,000 years. Defined as “the ancient healing art of fingers and strength,” Tui-Na has been known as the grandmother of all forms of massage and bodywork that are practised nowadays, including shiatsu and osteopathy. Tui-Na translates loosely into “push-grasp”. Physically, it is the pressing and kneading with palms, fingertips, knuckles to help the body to remove blockages along the meridians (Qi pathways) of the body and stimulates the flow of vital-energy and blood to promote healing, similar to principles of acupuncture and acupressure.

Tui-Na techniques range from light stroking to deep-tissue work which could be considered too vigorous for a holistic, relaxing massage. As described – it can be very deep with strong muscle work, dynamic and focused on problem areas, leaving you feeling highly energized. However, extremely gentle massage techniques can be used to leave you feeling completely relaxed. It all depends upon the presentation of the client’s health and what the aim of the treatment is.

In medical terms, Tui-Na massage it is used to treat external conditions (muscle skeletal) or internal (digestive, urogenital, respiratory issues, etc ) as well as emotional (anxiety, depression).  If you like the effect of acupuncture but you don’t like needles, Tui-Na massage could be the right choice for you. It can be used as a stand alone therapy, as well as in conjunction with other forms of therapy. Tui-Na massage is suitable for people of all ages, from infancy to old age.
