Joanna Employed

Joanna’s journey into the world of hairdressing began after a traumatic hair cut at the hands of her older sister, determined that this would never happen again, she joined Shine in 2007 as an assistant and completed her training with us in 2011. Quietly building her client base, Jo has become a much sort after part of the team.

Her focus is always about listening and working out exactly what her clients want. She sees this as the challenge that comes with every haircut, precision is high on her list of skills.

Jo loves the professional and friendly atmosphere at shine, though for her, the support and care that comes from her colleagues along with the smiles from happy clients makes each day more rewarding than the last. “hairdressing is a never ending learning experience, allowing for creativity and fresh ideas.”

In her spare time she loves to travel but mostly enjoys spending time with her new baby girl.

I’ve been visiting Shine for 20 years, now both my adult children and husband do too, with good reason. Our stylist Joanna cuts and colours both mine and my daughter’s hair beautifully and we simply wouldn’t risk going to anyone else. My husband and son both have thick, difficult hair which Joanna transforms each visit, we love her !I always enjoy the whole experience at Shine and would highly recommend.

Joanna really listened to what to I wanted and did an absolutely incredible job to fix a colour I had done elsewhere and didn’t like. I have been to many different hairdressing salons around London (mainly in Central London and the City) and this salon is by far the best I have found. Every member of staff you come into contact with is welcoming, friendly and professional helping you to have a really relaxed and pleasant experience. Joanna has been colouring and cutting my hair for 2 years and is absolutely fantastic - really lovely and a perfectionist in a subtle way!
