Pink Nails Inspiration: Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Shine

Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Shine Hair, Health & Beauty Salons in North London

breast cancer awareness month 1Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a worldwide annual campaign taking place in October, involving thousands of organisations, to highlight the importance of breast cancer awareness, education and research.

There are many ways that you can raise money and show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness. Here, Shine salons in Stoke Newington share some fun pink-inspiration for your nails – as well as shedding a little more light on the cause.

In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October 2019, Carla, the owner of Shine, will share her personal journey of going through Breast Cancer, from diagnosis to out the other side, plus the support network she cultivated through Holistic Health Practitioners with us. Click here to follow.

Why Do We Wear Pink During Breast Cancer Awareness Month?

It all started with ribbons. Since the 19th century, ribbons have been worn in a myriad of colours to support efforts to raise awareness of a variety of diseases and disorders.

In the 1990s, pink ribbons were used to raise breast cancer awareness and the colour stuck. We wear pink to honour those who have lost their battles and support those still to come, whilst drawing attention to the fact that there is still so much more to be done to find a cure for this disease.

You do not only have to wear a pink ribbon, however, but you can also wear a pink top, shoes, have a pink manicure or even dye your hair pink to show your support. Check out our favourite ways to wear a pink manicure and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October….

Show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness by flashing your glittery manicure throughout October.

Pearly Pink Nails for Breast Cancer Awareness

Barbie Pink Nails
