The People of Muccia Earthquake Fund

Shine is fund raising to support the people of Muccia, Italy, who have been badly affected by the recent catastrophic earthquakes.

Muccia is (was!) a little town of 925 souls situated in the region of Marche, and part of the Sibillini National Park, famous for its beautiful mountains  and hot spot for its wonderful hiking.

The town is now being evacuated, as 95% of the houses have either collapsed or are badly damaged. People are in great need of clothes, food, water and shelter.

The Pro Loco is a local association who’s aim is to promote and develop the territory. During November and December, Shine will discount in house Aveda Botanical hair treatments by 50% ( making them just £8), and the entire sales cost will be donated to the Pro Loco of Muccia fund.

You can donate to the fund by leaving cash in the donation boxes provided at both Shine reception desks and at Trattoria, Newington Table, Amici Miei, and other business around North and South London. Or you can click through to this fund raising page

You can also donate by bank transfer to:

“I’m not a bad person, but maybe I did a bad thing …Life is good for Anna Wright. She’s a successful media executive working for one of the UK’s largest TV corporations. She’s got a great boyfriend, some close friends and a lovely home. She adores her dog, Wispa, and she loves to run to help her de-stress. But Anna’s perfect life starts to crumble from the moment when, out jogging on the Heath one day, she meets a handsome stranger. She takes a route into unfamiliar territory, and then she has to face the consequences. There’s a dark, growing creepiness as the atmosphere becomes unsettled and, as Anna’s professional life becomes increasingly pressured and poisonous, her obsession with the intriguing stranger intensifies.”
