Inspired to continue studying, as the year 2000 came to a close, Clinical Aromatherapy, with a dissertation on cancer, was also added to her repertoire. Amanda worked for various spas and natural product companies before coming to the UK 13 years ago. Over the years in London, Amanda has studied Reiki I and II, La Stone Therapy, Hopi Ear Candles and Hydrotherm massage.
Amanda undertook the Dr.Hauschka treatment and product training to compliment the bodywork component to her practice. This in turn greatly enhanced her knowledge and understanding of the skin and how to treat it when in distress or for general health and welbeing.
Most recently completing her Yoga Teacher training in India, June 2013. These products, facials, treatments and yoga allow her to provide a truly holistic experience for each client.
Also during this time, Amanda spent 9 years practicing in the Oncology Department at London Bridge Hospital, having a keen interest in working with people affected by cancer or the treatment of cancer. Guiding many patients in the use of complementary therapies to help themselves through the stress of diagnosis and subsequent processes. Concurrently, with a colleague, developing a post surgical scar massage technique, that is beneficial for any surgical scar from a physiological and emotional perspective.
Her aim is to take this experience out of the hospital environment, and combined with yoga, provide a comprehensive support during this most distressing time.
