Inspired to continue studying, as the year 2000 came to a close, Clinical Aromatherapy, with a dissertation on cancer, was also added to her repertoire.
Amanda worked for various spas and natural product companies before coming to the UK 13 years ago. Over the years in London, Amanda has studied Reiki I and II, La Stone Therapy, Hopi Ear Candles and Hydrotherm massage.
During this time, Amanda also spent 9 years practicing in the Oncology Department at London Bridge Hospital, having a keen interest in working with people affected by cancer or the treatment of cancer. Guiding many patients in the use of complementary therapies to help themselves through the stress of diagnosis and subsequent processes. Concurrently, with a colleague, developing a post surgical scar massage technique, that is beneficial for any surgical scar from a physiological and emotional perspective.
Her aim is to take this experience out of the hospital environment, and combined with yoga, provide a comprehensive support during this most distressing time.
Amanda also offers Bespoke Apothecary for you to enjoy amazing Aromatherapy from your home.
