Maureen Evans

Maureen is a professional Holistic Therapist, specialising in Reflexology.  She is also trained in Champissage, better known as Indian Head Massage. 

With experience of working in health and fitness, natural health clinics, on work sites and at home treatments, at the centre of her approach is always the genuine care and wellbeing of  each client, treating  the whole person, both mind and body. With a professional training background of complementary therapy and talking therapy, Maureen can provide a balanced, healing perspective to each individual client’s health concern and wellbeing. 

With a training background with Ann Gillanders, at the British School of Reflexology she qualified with a Diploma both in anatomy and physiology and Reflexology (Feet and Hands).   For Champissage (IHM) Maureen trained with Narendra Metha at the London Centre of Indian Champissage.  Champissage is a specialised  massage technique for the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp and face whilst the client remains seated in an upright position.  It offers many benefits, such as relieving stress and tension and can improve flexibility.  It boosts circulation which can help to reduce hair loss, premature balding  and greying and relieves scalp conditions.

Maureen trained at the Central School of Counselling and Therapy and qualified with a Diploma in Counselling.  During this time she worked with MIND, the national mental health charity, and offered short-term counselling to clients with a variety of psychological issues, on a sliding scale fee.  Since qualifiying Maureen has worked in many settings, including Brook Advisory Service, MIND, private practice providing short and long-term counselling for issues such as depression, low mood, anxiety, loss, bereavement, health, stress, relationships.
