Protocols and PPE for our Clients and Staff at Shine.
As a Hair, Beauty and Health Centre, we need to maintain some Health and Safety protocols in accordance with close contact treatment guidelines from our Federations. We update and review regularly.
We provide essential Health care to clients, some of which are either Pregnant, vulnerable or Immunosuppressed and must be protected. The Health and wellbeing of our Clients and Staff is our top priority. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
If you or anyone that you live with is currently testing positive with Covid.
Although guidelines suggest we can now carry on as normal, for the safety of all at Shine, we ask you to take certain action:
If you have a Hair or Beauty appointment, we ask you to call 020 7241 5033 to reschedule your appointment until after you or the person you are living with is symptom free. If possible, please take a lateral flow test on the morning of your rescheduled appointment.
If you have a Health appointment, your Practitioner’s protocols and circumstance will determine if it is possible to treat or reschedule. Please contact Reception and they can instruct you further.

Along with hygiene protocols, sanitisation gaps and continuing to work at reduced capacity, other areas of health and safety measures include:
1. All treatment rooms are running air purification systems with Hepa filters. We prioritise keeping the salons and treatment rooms well ventilated.
2. We now provide a single use mask on arrival if you wish to wear one and / or your Stylist, Beautician or Practitioner requests it. Some will maintain this and others are giving the choice to their clients. FOH can direct you accordingly.

3. Continuing to use compostable towels in all of the clinic rooms, though we are also starting to reintroduce material ones.
4. Sanitisable treatment bed covers and solutions to sterilise between every client.
5. Hand sanitiser will be available at the front door, at every cutting station and in every room.
If you are considered vulnerable according to Government guidelines, we have Lateral Flow tests onsite and are happy to ask your Shine team member to test the morning of your appointment. Please contact reception on 020 7241 5033 if this is something you would like us to do. In this case, we would ask that you also do a lateral flow test before attending your appointment.
You are now welcome to keep your own mask on for Health and Beauty treatments, or if you wish, you can have one of our fresh single use masks.
In the Hair Salon we advise to use ours, as material ones will get wet or stained at the basins.
As we get closer to a sense of normality, we are now using our cloak rooms and serving refreshments.
MASK EXEMPTION
If you have a valid Mask Exemption from your doctor and need an appointment, we require you to communicate with our management team to discuss your options at least 48hours before the appointment you have booked,just in case who you are booking with is still requiring their cilents to wear masks due to being vulnerable themselves.. This can be done via bookings@shineholistic.co.uk
