Biography

Originally from Spain, Marta has been practicing her art for about 20 years across many different countries before settling in London. We feel privileged to have her as one of our Self-employed and highly motivated team.

It was at the beginning of her career in Madrid that she discovered her passion about colouring techniques and the harmony between colouring and a cutting. She came to London to work in trendy and vibrant Shoreditch before setting off to Australia's Sydney to join a French 'experimental lab' company, where she became an expert in the french 'balayage' technique.

Back to London in 2013  she has built a network of loyal clients who are generally demanding and who expect something more than the usual haircut. Marta has a natural talent that she completed by adopting Sassoon's creative  philosophy of structured cutting. She attends all the New Collections and hair shows.

Focusing on precision hair cutting, and blended cuts, Marta believes that a haircut is an extension of someone's personality and individuality. Face expression, balance and head's structure have to be taken into consideration.

Her work has been getting a lot of attention lately and she often works on set for photo shoots and on outside creative projects.

Also working on men 'fades' cuts, if you are after a hair stylist capable of listening and able to deliver or if you need advice from someone who could surprise you with a new hair style then Marta is the person for you . In her spare time she enjoys cooking, dancing, travelling and spending time with  her friends.

A wonderful, friendly, welcoming place, both for hair and holistic treatments. I've always had good experiences over several years, and with a number of different stylists and therapists. My current favourite hair stylist is Vincenzo, but alas he's going back to Italy before long. Five stars also for Marta and for hair, and Sophie for massage. The experience that really stands out, though, is going through cancer treatment 5 years ago, and visiting Shine to have my hair firstly cut short, then shaved as the remains fell out due to chemotherapy, then eventually restyled as it grew back in. Throughout, everyone was unfailing kind and sensitive, and I was (and remain) so grateful to you for your support during a difficult time.
