How We Got Started
Shine opened its doors in 2003, when founding owner, Carla Octigan, decided to combine her years in the hairdressing industry with her passion for complementary health. More than two decades later, Shine has evolved into a collaborative team of health and wellness professionals providing a multitude of services and skills to our local and wider communities.
What We Do
Holistic Health, Hair & Beauty
With a team of over 65, we offer almost all that you could be looking for from hair services, beauty treatments and health options at our Newington Green salon. Our passion for holistic health has seen us grow across many areas, with a strong focus in body work. Shine hosts some of London’s top massage practitioners, osteopaths and acupuncturists. Alongside helping you to look and feel great physically, we also offer nutritionally focused practitioners, who are able to support with gut or hormonal support.

Introducing Retreats
Shine Takes on Tuscany
In 2022, we began our journey into our residential retreats and now offer you the option of joining our teams for weeklong stays in our farmhouse in the green heart of Italy. Combining wellness and creativity experiences, we take all that is Shine, London and add in the slow food and time of Tuscany. Staying away from touristy hot-spots, we bring you into an authentic Italian experience.
