Even after 15 years of running Shine, Carla and Sandro are constantly looking for ways to improve your experience at Shine.
We know the main area we need to focus our attention on is ‘Our Team’ and how to support, inspire and motivate is a constant challenge and one that varies from person to person and from year to year.
For our clients who have been coming to Shine for many years, you will know that our team is a pretty constant one, as cheesy as this sounds we are a family at Shine. We need our people to be content and creative and this is one of the main reasons we have chosen to partner with Davines.
The creative team within Davines are young, talented and inspiring. We are truly excited about being able to work closely with 
them. Davines is a family run Italian business. They are in control of where their company is going creatively and they are partnering with some of the most creative names in the hairdressing world. Their products are current and exciting, because of their size they are able to turn on a dime and create the formulas our industry wants NOW. This is visible in their colouring systems as well as their take home shampoos, conditioners and styling products.
The other reason and equally close to our heart at Shine is their environmental policy. My Father always told me ‘You can achieve anything in life, providing you don’t hurt anybody.’ With this in mind and the very current environmental issues we are all challenged with, one aim of partnering with Davines is very much an environmental one. We, and they, aim to do as little harm to this planet as is possible. Now for the fun bits, apart from a diverse range of take home hair care products, (too long to go into this newsletter) Davines have 3 different colour ranges that we will be working with: ‘Mask’, ‘A new Colour’ and ‘Finest Pigments.’
“Why 3” you ask? Well they all do or offer a very different solution to your colour needs.
“Finest Pigments’ is a true semi-permanent colouring system, this will wash out of your hair leaving no regrowth or damage done what so ever. This is a brilliant way to add shine, tone and have some non-permanent creative fun with your hair.
‘A New Colour’ is Davines’s newest colouring system and contains no Ammonia or Peroxide, something personally very close to our hearts. We would not be moving to Davines if this system did not exist.
Ever noticed how Shine salons smell much better than your average salon? We could not work all day breathing in those chemicals or aromas.
And finally we have ‘Mask’ with Vibrachrom for all your creative needs. It offers a high conditioning effect, extraordinary shine and outstanding durability.
